SYNOPSIS: In the Beira village of Tortosendo, a weaver and artist great-grandfather who died before the birth of his great-granddaughters becomes the catalyst for a search into the artistic talents that the three also feel in their blood. Around Covilhã and among the factory workers who knew him, a brief history unfolds of Portugal’s relationship with the wool-textile tradition, highlighting the role of women in the various stages of clothing production and finishing. TEIA (“web” or “weave”) because everything is interconnected.
